THA HOODLUM’S TESTIMONY (1995)
When rap was first gaining in popularity within Christian music circles there were a handful of artists that were making strong inroads like PID, E-Roc and Gospel Gangstas, but T-Bone took sales and exposure to whole different level by becoming as much a personality as an artists. He hosted a music video show on the trinity Broadcasting Network and shared the stage with top Christian musical acts like DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, Carman and Crystal Lewis.
The Crystal lewis owned label, Metro One, signed T-Bone to a recording contract and released his first three album. The third, and best, release was Tha Hoodlum’s testimony. T-Bones reputation was one of high speed, double speak, style rap and the use of « Spanglish » to reach out to Southern California’s Hispanic population with the Gospel.
